Waltz (R-FL-6) 12/21/2021: Tweet – “Nothing to celebrate @SecBlinken Sadly veterans are spending the holidays helping desperate Americans left behind & starving allies being hunted by terrorists. And we're not sending a third generation of American soldiers to fight and die there." (Link to twitter.com)

Risch (R-ID) 12/21/2021: Twitter thread – “Last week, @presssec touted 3 of Biden's foreign policy “accomplishments.” Untruthful spin like that deserves a thoughtful correction. Here are just a few. More to come… It's absurd to hear the Biden Admin claims it is reinstating the United States' leadership role in the world. Its unilateral withdraw from #Afghanistan destroyed trust among our #NATO allies and eroded U.S. credibility around the world. It will take decades to repair. The admin claims it is “restoring alliances.” Yet it is also pushing a change to U.S. nuclear policy that's at odds w/ all our #NATO allies & would undermine a core mission of the alliance while giving a gift to #Russia & #China. This would hurt, not help, NATO & other allies. While I agree with the policy behind #AUKUS, it's ham-handed rollout fed #France's distrust of the Biden Administration. We need to rebuild trust between the U.S. and France, not further damage it. On trade, the Biden Admin is sacrificing our Canadian ally in favor of climate politics. The “Buy America" EV rebate plan will ultimately destroy the Canadian auto sector and violates the U.S.-#Canada-#Mexico Agreement. Our friends deserve better. Finally, I'm not surprised @presssec made no mention of #Ukraine. The White House has sat on a security assistance package for Ukraine for weeks. What are they waiting for? We must help Ukrainians & give them what they need to combat #Russian aggression. Stop appeasing #Putin.
